The VITS School celebrated 74th Republic Day of India in a grand way. The event began with the unfurling of our National Flag, singing National Anthem and House-wise March Past.
The celebration continued as the students were felicitated for their phenomenal performances in team games and athletics in the Annual Sports Meet- Umang 2022-23.
The campus of the school was filled with the merry cheers of the students. Their energy, enthusiasm and excitement took the event to another level.
The Championship Trophy was awarded to Jal House.
Christmas Celebration

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold,
everything is softer and more beautiful.”
To spread the message of love, sharing and caring the students of
grade 4-8 had celebrated Christmas on 24 th December 2022.
The event commenced with a speech briefing the students about
the origin of Santa Claus, followed by a lovely song wishing the
students Merry Christmas and New Year. The message of
journey from darkness to light was further described through a
poem a shining star. The programme concluded with the skit that
gave a message of sharing and kindness.
The essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Claus himself
went into the classes. The boundless joy of celebrating the
festival was amply visible on the faces of the students especially
when Santa moved around and distributed chocolates among
them.
The celebration continued in the respective classes with
Christmas take away crafts activity being done by students. All in
all, it was a fascinating ,incredible and awesome Christmas
Celebration.

Christmas is love and joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends.
The school wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Several activities such as Christmas tree decoration, snowman making by Socks, Santa Socks with wish writing, Paper plate Santa making, Santa cap decoration were organized for the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them. The delightful celebration included children coming in red and white colour dress, dancing and sharing the merriment together.

Vijay Diwas is proudly celebrated in India on 16th December to honour the victory of Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war.
The students of The VITS School, Indore paid homage to all the soldiers who had defended the nation in the war.
The students of Grade 4 and 5 delivered speeches, presented slogans and recited poem to celebrate the spirit of victory.
The students of 6,7 and 8 created and delivered Power Point Presentations and made collages. The children participated with a lot of enthusiasm and praised the valour and gallantry of brave sons of our mother land.

Children are the soul of a school and this Children's Day seems to be lifeless without them.
The students of THE VITS School celebrated Children's Day with immense energy and gusto.
Our tiny tots filled the air with their delightful dance moves to the latest songs with their friends and teachers. Children played a lot of games. Cheerful sounds could be heard from all corners of the school which made this day a remarkable .

Children’s Day and the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru was celebrated with full zest and vigour in the School Campus on Monday, 14th November, 2022.
On this occasion, Children came dressed in colourful attire and appeared like beautiful blossoms of our school garden.
The celebration was replete with entertaining fair from teachers which included a lot of joyous games. The children relished the especially curated sumptuous lunch.

The VITS School, Indore celebrated Deepawali, the festival of lights by spreading happiness and joy.
Class Decoration Competition was organised for Grades 4-8. The students embellished their classes with beautiful torans, rangolis, diyas, clay items, kandils and wall hangings. They also decorated sweets.
Happiness and joy of celebration was all around.

THE VITS SCHOOL, INDORE celebrated Hindi Diwas with a feeling of great respect and enthusiasm.
Students participated in Slogan Writing, Hindi Speech, Hindi Poem Recitation and Hindi Doha Recitation.
Their feelings for Hindi language could be witnessed by the zeal of their participation.

Hindi is a language of love, togetherness and brotherhood. HINDI DIWAS is celebrated on 14 September with great pride and vigor throughout the country. The students of “The VITS School” participated in Hindi Poem Recitation and showed their love for the language.
It was a pleasure to watch the little ones recite the poem so confidently.

The VITS School celebrated, the auspicious occasion of our 76th Independence Day with a great feeling of patriotism.
The program began with the Flag-hoisting by our honorable Director Sir and Principal Ma'am. It was followed by songs dedicated to our Nation and inter-house patriotic dances. Best Out of Waste and Poster-making competitions were organized.
The struggle and efforts of Indian freedom fighters and martyrs were remembered.
The feeling of love for our Nation and pride of being Indian was all around.

“Kiddies paint their moods in shades of blue”
The Kindergarten section of THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated Blue Day on 30th July 2022. It was a pleasant and a cool blue day for the tiny tots.
The significance of blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities. The dress code of the day was blue.
Excitement and enthusiasm was visible everywhere. All the children came dressed up in different shades and hues of blue. The children were introduced to different shades of blue.
Blue – the colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust had a very positive impact on tiny tots bringing in harmony and brotherhood.
Clad in blue dresses, students were made to recognize blue colour through different games and play-way activities like finger painting in raindrops, umbrella craft etc.. An array of blue coloured objects like umbrella, ball, cloud, flowers etc. were at display thus providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance.
The little ones walked on the ramp. It was a ‘RAINY DAY FASHION RAMP WALK’
Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long-lasting effect on each student. Early identification of colours helped to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s development.
It was indeed a visual treat to see the good effects of blue colour on our little ones.

द विट्स स्कूल इंदौर में विभिन्न रसों पर आधारित फाग उत्सव का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमें जीवन की समस्त परिस्थितियों को नियंत्रित करने की कला विद्यार्थियों को सिखाई गई। इस सुन्दर कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत विद्यालय की प्राचार्या श्रीमती ज्योति चौरसिया जी द्वारा उत्साहित वातावरण में दीप प्रज्जवलन द्वारा की गई। इस रसात्मक वातावरण में कक्षा दसवी के छात्र/छात्राओं ने सुन्दर -सुन्दर गीतों पर अपनी भाव-भंगिमा द्वारा मनमोहक नृत्य प्रस्तुत किए। जिसमें उन्होंने रसों को समझाने का प्रयास किया।

THE VITS SCHOOL Indore celebrated 73rd Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and zeal through an online platform. Various activities were organized to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students. The students of Pre Primary wing made the Indian tricolor flag, origami of national symbols of India as a craft activity. Students were dressed up as Bharat Mata, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chacha Nehru. They spoke slogans of freedom fighters and presented soulful songs and dance to celebrate the monumental day.

Childhood is a blessing and the most fun filled phase of life. To mark such an ocassion children's day was celebrated on 12th November 21, in our school premises. Teachers took the opportunity to give a brief insight into the life of Chacha Nehru and his special connection towards children. To make this day memorable and fun filled one, children were taken out of their classroom to the lush green lawn in our very own school campus. It was an unstoppable day and the children utilized this liberty and played games like musical chair, 1 minutes game and danced to their hearts content. Children relished on sweets and 'Children's day' at school hence came to a pleasant conclusion. The teachers made Children’s Day special for their children by involving them into various games like balancing and hit the pyramid, roll the dice, talent show, tongue twister etc. All the children were given chocolates as a token of love from their teachers etc.

Virtual Diwali Celebration- Festival of Lights began in The VITS School . ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, THE VITS SCHOOL had a virtual celebration in school . Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children of classes Nursery and LKG decorated diyas with colors and glitter and made colourful rangoli designs.
Mrs Aruna Umariya and Mrs Kanak Khodani were the Guest speakers. Elegant lantern making and pot decoration activities were taken by them. Both teachers and students enjoyed the Virtual Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

Students of The VITS School were caught up in a spirit of patriotism and celebrated 75th Independence Day. Students took part in various patriotic activities. Students of nursery and LKG conveyed the important message of patriotism and national spirit through dance, rendering of songs, by making tricolour Flower and colouring flag by ear bud. Students of UKG were dressed up as Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Chandrashekhar Azad and Indira Gandhi.They spoke slogans of freedom fighters and participated in an activity of coloring Flag.

Pre primary and primary wing of THE VITS SCHOOL Indore celebrated REPUBLIC DAY with great fervor and passion. On the occasion of Republic day, we had organized the FANCY DRESS ACTIVITY to inculcate the zeal and enthusiasm of patriotism in the tiny tots and the future generation of our India. To make them aware about the constitution and to know more about the freedom fighters they all have dressed up in the different attires of the same. They all had dressed up nicely and spoke their dialogues with zeal and zest.
Some of the children have narrated the famous slogans by the freedom fighters.
After the activity they enjoyed the patriotic song along with their mothers. We ended the event by singing the national anthem.

Makar Sankranti is mainly a harvest festival and the festival of joy and happiness. Celebrating festivals in school brings awareness and build cultural belief in children. We believe in the uniqueness of each child and push children to become the best in their own way.
As it is a festival of flying kites, children of Grade Nursery, LKG and UKG had prepared and decorated colorful kites
and came to know the importance of celebrating the festival by having ‘til gud’ laddoos.
Kids love to eat sweets, so the teachers of UKG have taught recipe of making til gud laddoos to the children.
Children have participated in the laddoos making activity with full zest along with the parents. They came to know that Laddoos and Khichdi are the main delicacies on Makar Sankranti.
The children of Nursery and LKG enjoyed the festival by having the sweetness of laddoos and gajak with their parents and celebrated the festival with joy and happiness.

Diwali is the festival of light and joy Let us welcome Lord Rama with rangoli Diyas, candles and laterns.
Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, The Pre primary section of The Vits School Indore had a celebration in school on 11th Nov 2020. The students were dressed up in bright colored and beautiful ethnic attire. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali by showing them the animated story. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children made beautiful lanterns, rangolis with colors and glitter and decorated torans (door hangings). Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

Gandhiji was not just a man, he was a priceless gem that India will continue to cherish for we love our Bapu.
Gandhi Jayanti, which falls on October 2 is celebrated to mark the birth of one of the most famous freedom fighters of India. His birth anniversary is special in its own way, as it reminds us Indians of a glorious past and all the humane values that Gandhiji held dear.
The pre primary wing of THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by showing a short movie on the biography of Gandhiji to the children and by listening to one of his favourite songs. The children also did an activity of making and colouring pictures of 3 monkeys through which they learnt the core teachings of Gandhiji.

On 3rd of September, the kindergarten of our school celebrated Yellow Day. The motive of celebrating this day was to make the kids aware of the colour yellow, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills in the students. The day began with fun filled introduction concerning the colour yellow. As the day dedicated to the yellow colour, children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!
Focusing on the theme, children of Grade LKG have done LEAF PRINTING ACTIVITY to make a sun flower by using paint colour and leaf. The toddlers of grade nursery enjoyed the PALM PAINTING ACTIVITY and made small and beautiful ducks and learnt the folding of paper with yellow colour paper. At the end the children enjoyed the activity and made the learning event active and sporty.

Holi the festival of colours is one of the most important festivals of India and is celebrated with great pomp and fervour. A day before Dhulandi, Holika is burnt. This signifies the removal of negativity and brings the colours of positivity into our lives. The dominant idea behind Holi is to spread the message of harmony.
To celebrate this festival, a special assembly was conducted by the students of grade 3, 4 and 5. Wherein a beautiful skit was performed deciphering the importance of Holi and the story of Bhakt Prahlad and Holika. A mesmerising drama along with the speech about other reasons of celebrating this festival engrossed the audience.
Grandparents Meet

With the shrinking size of families, grandparents are often missed the most by children. It is important to sensitize kids about the role of grandparents in one’s life and teach them about respecting and taking care of them in their old age. THE VITS SCHOOL lay emphasis on the emotional bonding of children with their family members and hence ‘The Grandparents Meet’ was organized to strengthen the unique bond between kids and their grandparents. The day filled with fun and frolic was appreciated by the elderlies who abundantly enjoyed with their little ones.
Students of UKG and Grade 1 presented delightful dance for their grandparents. All the grannies and grandpas participated in chair race and card making activity. They glorified the program with some pleasing bhajans, stories and songs.
The program was followed by the lunch and finally, all of them clicked selfies with their grandchildren in the garden (where the selfie corner was arranged) so that such memories can be cherished always.

Children’s Day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to our first Prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal.
THE VITS SCHOOL always strives to emerge out with something new for its students and children’s day being a day especially for them. The teachers thought of a different beat and gifted a fun.
The day started with the assembly by the teachers. Then, children had circle time with their class teachers and subject teachers. During this session they shared their feelings, love and some experiences in the class.
A playtime was also scheduled where children played some fun and traditional games like Kho-kho, ghoda badaam chhai, etc with the teachers.
The aim was to strengthen the bond among teachers and students which is considered to be of utmost importance here, in THE VITS SCHOOL.
The power-packed performances (song, skit and dance) by the teachers set the stage on fire. The students were overwhelmed with the entire effort.

“Be the change you want to see in the world”.
At THE VITS SCHOOL, we not only celebrate the festivals but feel them in their truest form. Yes, Diwali is a festival of spreading happiness and lights around you.
We did the same, with all the decorations and the festivities we celebrated JOY OF GIVING week as well. Teachers and students contributed and collected decent gifts for the house keeping staff and presented them respectfully in a thankful manner.
Principal Ma’am addressed all the Didis, Drivers and other staff members in the AV Room for the time and dedication they put in in all their day to day duties and responsibilities. Then, the students from each class escorted them towards their classroom which were beautifully decorated for giving Diwali Hampers. The students thanked them for the love and care that these community helpers shower.
The lunchtime was also made special for the staff as the students of Grade 7 and 8 served them and realised JOY OF GIVING.
In all, the School celebrated the festival in an eco-friendly and justified manner. The theme for Class decoration was ‘Best out of Waste’ and the purpose of ‘Joy OF Giving’ was to inculcate some life skills like empathy, charity, sharing and being thankful.
The purpose is not just to educate children in the premises called school but make their education a life learning process which can actually turn them in Human Beings.

We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India.At The VITS SCHOOL, the students had organized a lovely program from 9:30 -11:30am, which incorporated a few speeches and song dedicated to teachers.They also entertained teachers by arranging fun games for them. All the teachers were given hand made cards. Finally, the program ended with dance by the teachers and students together.We decided that, the responsibility of teaching should be taken up by the students as an appreciation and change for their teachers. So, from 11:30 onwards Students of grades 6,7 and 8 taught in all the classes and managed the children till 2:30pm.
