We are thrilled to share the excitement and learning that unfolded during our recent Mock Market Activity for the students of Pre-School as a reinforcement to the theme ‘Fruits and Vegetables– on Friday, September 15, 2023.
Each child brought fruits and vegetables which was displayed in a creative way.
Buying and Selling Fun: Through play and pretend, our tiny tots learned about basic financial concepts like buying, selling, and counting "money." It was a delightful blend of education and entertainment.
It created an awareness about the importance and consumption of fruits and vegetables in regular diet. This occasion was used to reinforce the concept of the healthy benefits of fruits and vegetables. The tiny tots also learned more about the taste, smell, colour and texture of each fruit and vegetable. Children
understood the importance of maintaining proper hygiene while eating.

On September 6, 2023, The VITS School celebrated Janmashtami with immense joy. In a special assembly program, students from Pre-Primary to Grade 12 put on a mesmerizing show with their traditional dance and play performances.
Dressed as Shri Krishna, Radha, Gopi, Nand-Baba, Yashoda, Vasudev, Devki and more, they beautifully depicted the glory of Lord Krishna through their dance, music, and play.
During the event, students had the opportunity to share their experiences and reflect on what they had learned from Lord Krishna. Additionally, a short quiz about Krishna was held to both enhance and test their knowledge.
The students also performed a heartfelt prayer dedicated to Lord Krishna and engaged in discussions about his qualities and teachings.

On September 5th, 2023, the assembly hall of THE VITS SCHOOL was filled with emotion as students from classes 6 to 12 came together to celebrate Teachers' Day. The atmosphere was brimming with enthusiasm and respect for our dedicated staff. The event commenced with a heartwarming lighting ceremony led by our Honorable Principal, Mrs. Jyoti Chourasia, alongside the school coordinators, all while cherishing the memories of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The students kicked off the program with stunning singing and dancing performances that left everyone mesmerized. The highlight of the day was the "Song Quiz," which our teachers thoroughly enjoyed.
Students displayed their creativity with various cutouts and set up a selfie corner to capture precious moments. The excitement continued with the Chair Race, a competition that allowed our teachers to relive their school days' memories.
Honorable Director Sir enlightened the students about the significance of teachers in their lives, emphasizing that the main concern and underlying feeling behind every action of a teacher is to brighten their student's futures and encourage them to strive for excellence.
A heartfelt "Vote of Thanks" marked the end of this memorable day.

🚫 Say No to Bullying! 🚫
THE VITS SCHOOL INDORE hosted an awareness session on bullying for students in grades 9 to 12 on August 23. The session was led by our teachers, Mr. Tausif and Mr. Akshay. They discussed the definition of bullying as the use of power or strength to hurt and overpower someone. They shared two meaningful quotes to emphasize the seriousness of the topic.
The teachers presented real-life examples and data from the internet to underline the seriousness of bullying. They elaborated on its various forms, including physical, verbal, and social bullying. Reasons behind bullying, such as insecurity and social pressures, were explored to provide insight into the issue.
Strategies for dealing with bullying were addressed. Students were advised not to ignore the problem, to stay composed in challenging situations, and to seek help from authorities rather than trying to resolve it on the spot.
The teachers shared the question, 'Have you ever thought of their pain?' to encourage empathy and they also encouraged students not to engage in bullying behavior towards others.
The teachers wrapped up by guiding students on effective ways to tackle bullying, emphasizing the importance of recognizing it as a problem and not ignoring it.

As the students entered the venue they were greeted by a delightful watermelon themed setup. They were guided by teachers to explore the various parts of the watermelon, from the crunchy seeds to juicy pulp. 9th April 2023, Sunday, was a day to cherish as the students of UKG graduated. They all looked refreshing and vibrant in their whites, ready to adorn the new colours of Grade 1 just like a new butterfly. The programme began with a warm welcome by our students followed by a welcome song. The graduating batch spoke very enthusiastically about what they learnt during the course of the year and also had a very cheerful performance for everyone present.
The cultural extravaganza was interspersed with the most important event of the day- The Graduation of UKG wherein the students received their certificates and medals of achievement. The audience applauded the children's attitude and confidence. The fun-filled ceremony ended on a cheerful note with big smiles on the faces of the new graduates as well as parents. "Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes and cooking. It’s harnessing the imagination, empowerment and creativity.”
Cooking can happen even without the fire. A "Fireless cooking Competition” was conducted today for students of Grade UKG.
Our students prepared yummy lip smacking items like Sev puri, variety of healthy sandwiches, Strawberry fantasy, Papdi chat, Biscuit treat, Dry fruits laddu, Blue lagoon juice, etc. and proved their versatility in cooking even without fire!
Our kids really amazed us!!

Fancy dress competition not only blends learning with fun but also develops confidence in students by giving them an opportunity to speak in front of their own classmates.
To celebrate this fun-filled learning activity, children of Nursery and LKG participated in fancy dress competition.
Dressing up like a vegetable or fruit is pure fun when you are a kid. Children also participated with a lot of enthusiasm and displayed their confidence while speaking.
The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold,
everything is softer and more beautiful.”
To spread the message of love, sharing and caring the students of
grade 4-8 had celebrated Christmas on 24 th December 2022.
The event commenced with a speech briefing the students about
the origin of Santa Claus, followed by a lovely song wishing the
students Merry Christmas and New Year. The message of
journey from darkness to light was further described through a
poem a shining star. The programme concluded with the skit that
gave a message of sharing and kindness.
The essence of Christmas came alive when Santa Claus himself
went into the classes. The boundless joy of celebrating the
festival was amply visible on the faces of the students especially
when Santa moved around and distributed chocolates among
them.
The celebration continued in the respective classes with
Christmas take away crafts activity being done by students. All in
all, it was a fascinating ,incredible and awesome Christmas
Celebration.

Christmas is love and joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends.
The school wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Several activities such as Christmas tree decoration, snowman making by Socks, Santa Socks with wish writing, Paper plate Santa making, Santa cap decoration were organized for the students. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them. The delightful celebration included children coming in red and white colour dress, dancing and sharing the merriment together.

Sandwich Making Activity was held for the students of LKG.
To inculcate tha habit of healthy eating and to learn the names of vegetables, Sandwich making activity was organised.
The students brought different material like bread slices, butter, cheese slices and different vegetables. They prepared healthy sandwiches.
Children thoroughly enjoyed the activity and relished their sandwiches too!

Vijay Diwas is proudly celebrated in India on 16th December to honour the victory of Indian armed forces over Pakistan in the 1971 war.
The students of The VITS School, Indore paid homage to all the soldiers who had defended the nation in the war.
The students of Grade 4 and 5 delivered speeches, presented slogans and recited poem to celebrate the spirit of victory.
The students of 6,7 and 8 created and delivered Power Point Presentations and made collages. The children participated with a lot of enthusiasm and praised the valour and gallantry of brave sons of our mother land.

THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated it's Annual Function 'Aagaaz' 2022-23 with tremendous zeal including a series of programs prepared with exceptional effort and perfection. The students presented various performances through magnificent sequence of audio - visual delight. The function included dance - dramas, musical representation, dances and songs.
Annual function is not just an event but a priceless moment. It was an honour to have our valuable parents as guests to witness the grand event.

The students of THE VITS School celebrated Children's Day with immense energy and gusto.
Our tiny tots filled the air with their delightful dance moves to the latest songs with their friends and teachers. Children played a lot of games. Cheerful sounds could be heard from all corners of the school which made this day a remarkable .

Children’s Day and the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru was celebrated with full zest and vigour in the School Campus on Monday, 14th November, 2022.
On this occasion, Children came dressed in colourful attire and appeared like beautiful blossoms of our school garden.

The students of THE VITS SCHOOL participated in a Karate district level selections conducted by School Game Federation of India (SGFI) held in Nanda Nagar, Indore. Our students Mohit Jondharkar (grade 9) and Nishtha Raikwar (grade 11) gave a great performance. Nishtha secured 1 position in under 17 years 56-60 kg girls category and got selected for division level.

Nature is God’s most beautiful creation. It felicitates the growth, development and nourishment of all its creatures.
The students of Pre-Primary participated in the plantation drive enthusiastically and helped each other in planting the saplings.The students along with the teachers also took an oath to look after the planted saplings, plant more and more trees and encourage others to do the same.
Such little steps taken together by the school and students will surely help in fostering strong mental and social health amongst today’s children so that they connect with their peers, elders, community and environment.

Salad Making Competition was held at THE VITS SCHOOL on September 24, 2022. The competition was open for students from grades 1 to 3. The objective behind the competition was to inculcate healthy food habits and awareness regarding the choice of food among the children. The participants' creativity was revealed through the beautiful designs and patterns formed with different mouthwatering salad.

Students of classes 6-8 visited the Central Museum on 21 sep 2022. The students were taken on a tour of the various galleries such as the gallery showcasing Early Medieval Art to the one showing Late Medieval Art and other galleries including the ones showcasing Indian Miniature Paintings and Jewellery.
Students showed keen interest in learning about ancient tools and weapons. They were fascinated by the ancient artefacts on display and the unique glimpse offered by all the objects and paintings, into the culture and heritage of India.
On the whole, the trip was uniquely educational experience for the students and offered them a much required glimpse into the world of historical India and its impact on the present.

reliable way is right guidance and counselling. Career counselling holds huge
significance in the student’s life which can simply turn around the scenario
upside down for them.
On Wednesday, 7 th September, THE VITS SCHOOL, INDORE organized a
career counselling session for the students of 9 th , 10 th and 11 th class. It was taken
up by Mr. Madhur Naneria, an expert in the field, with 23 years of experience in
training and motivating students. He has guided more than 10,000 students till
date, by helping them crack several competitive exams like IPM, CLAT,
Symbiosis Entrance Test and many more. The students were informed about
how to find the suitable career option based on their skill set, keeping in mind
the future challenges and opportunities of the world.

Nishtha Raikwar bagged Gold and Manvik Golapuri won Silver. Many of our students won Bronze Medals. They were felicitated for their victory.
Our students also participated in the Sanand Marathi Group Song Competition and Sahodaya Best Out of Waste Competition. They were felicitated for the same.

The program began with the Flag-hoisting by our honorable Director Sir and Principal Ma'am. It was followed by songs dedicated to our Nation and inter-house patriotic dances. Best Out of Waste and Poster-making competitions were organized.
The struggle and efforts of Indian freedom fighters and martyrs were remembered.

“Kiddies paint their moods in shades of blue”
The Kindergarten section of THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated Blue Day on 30th July 2022. It was a pleasant and a cool blue day for the tiny tots.
The significance of blue colour was reiterated through a series of activities. The dress code of the day was blue.
Excitement and enthusiasm was visible everywhere. All the children came dressed up in different shades and hues of blue. The children were introduced to different shades of blue.
Blue – the colour of loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust had a very positive impact on tiny tots bringing in harmony and brotherhood.
Clad in blue dresses, students were made to recognize blue colour through different games and play-way activities like finger painting in raindrops, umbrella craft etc.. An array of blue coloured objects like umbrella, ball, cloud, flowers etc. were at display thus providing the students opportunities to have a clear sense of the colour and its importance.
The little ones walked on the ramp. It was a ‘RAINY DAY FASHION RAMP WALK’
Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long-lasting effect on each student. Early identification of colours helped to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s development.
It was indeed a visual treat to see the good effects of blue colour on our little ones.

To instil the spirit of active citizenship and to sensitise the young minds about the different types of inequalities that exist in society, The VITS School in collaboration with Oxfam India and Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC ) organised an enlightening workshop for teachers and students of Grade VIII The workshop was conducted by Mr.Kuldeep Sikarwar.
He emphasised on raising consciousness among the individuals about a host of societal problems persisting in the society and inspiring students to make a difference in the community through Oxfam Equality Club. It is an experiential learning approach to help students break stereotypes and equip them with the skills necessary to take on leadership qualities to reform societal norms.

In Economics, they have a topic – ‘Development’, which says – Development is different for each one us. Keeping the tradition alive, THE VITS SCHOOL Indore celebrated Basant panchmi on 5th February, 2022. Basant Panchami is an occasion which also marks the onset of the 'spring season' it is also celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom. The auspicious day was celebrated by the children of Pre primary with great enthusiasm. They were dressed up in yellow coloured attires offered floral prayers and invoked the blessings of Maa Saraswati.

THE VITS SCHOOL Indore celebrated 73rd Republic Day with immense patriotic fervour and zeal through an online platform. Various activities were organized to infuse the spirit of unity, brotherhood and patriotism among the students. The students of Pre Primary wing made the Indian tricolor flag, origami of national symbols of India as a craft activity. Students were dressed up as Bharat Mata, Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chacha Nehru. They spoke slogans of freedom fighters and presented soulful songs and dance to celebrate the monumental day.

Childhood is a blessing and the most fun filled phase of life. To mark such an ocassion children's day was celebrated on 12th November 21, in our school premises. Teachers took the opportunity to give a brief insight into the life of Chacha Nehru and his special connection towards children. To make this day memorable and fun filled one, children were taken out of their classroom to the lush green lawn in our very own school campus. It was an unstoppable day and the children utilized this liberty and played games like musical chair, 1 minutes game and danced to their hearts content. Children relished on sweets and 'Children's day' at school hence came to a pleasant conclusion. The teachers made Children’s Day special for their children by involving them into various games like balancing and hit the pyramid, roll the dice, talent show, tongue twister etc. All the children were given chocolates as a token of love from their teachers etc.

Virtual Diwali Celebration- Festival of Lights began in The VITS School . ‘Deepavali’ literally means an ‘array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, THE VITS SCHOOL had a virtual celebration in school . Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children of classes Nursery and LKG decorated diyas with colors and glitter and made colourful rangoli designs.
Mrs Aruna Umariya and Mrs Kanak Khodani were the Guest speakers. Elegant lantern making and pot decoration activities were taken by them. Both teachers and students enjoyed the Virtual Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated by the pre primary section of THE VITS SCHOOL. The main objective of the celebration was to inculcate Gandhian values and to sow seeds of a good human being and good citizen in students. Children also participated in art and craft activity depicting Gandhiji's values of "See no Evil" "Hear no Evil" and "Speak no Evil" making of charkha, greeting card. Importance of swachh Bharat Abhiyan was also explained.

Pre primary and primary wing of THE VITS SCHOOL Indore celebrated REPUBLIC DAY with great fervor and passion. On the occasion of Republic day, we had organized the FANCY DRESS ACTIVITY to inculcate the zeal and enthusiasm of patriotism in the tiny tots and the future generation of our India. To make them aware about the constitution and to know more about the freedom fighters they all have dressed up in the different attires of the same. They all had dressed up nicely and spoke their dialogues with zeal and zest.
Some of the children have narrated the famous slogans by the freedom fighters.
After the activity they enjoyed the patriotic song along with their mothers. We ended the event by singing the national anthem.

Makar Sankranti is mainly a harvest festival and the festival of joy and happiness. Celebrating festivals in school brings awareness and build cultural belief in children. We believe in the uniqueness of each child and push children to become the best in their own way.
As it is a festival of flying kites, children of Grade Nursery, LKG and UKG had prepared and decorated colorful kites
and came to know the importance of celebrating the festival by having ‘til gud’ laddoos.
Kids love to eat sweets, so the teachers of UKG have taught recipe of making til gud laddoos to the children.
Children have participated in the laddoos making activity with full zest along with the parents. They came to know that Laddoos and Khichdi are the main delicacies on Makar Sankranti.
The children of Nursery and LKG enjoyed the festival by having the sweetness of laddoos and gajak with their parents and celebrated the festival with joy and happiness.

To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, The Pre primary section of The Vits School Indore had a celebration in school on 11th Nov 2020. The students were dressed up in bright colored and beautiful ethnic attire. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali by showing them the animated story. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Children made beautiful lanterns, rangolis with colors and glitter and decorated torans (door hangings). Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

A fireless cooking event was organized for the students of grade 4 and 5 on account of festival season. The event was conducted to provide a platform for the students to foster their creativity and also help them explore their hidden talents and discover new areas of interest. The event gave a platform to the students to demonstrate their culinary knowledge and skills related to: developing and following a recipe, preparation of a dish, and displaying the dish before all classmates. Keeping the festival spirit alive, Navratri & Dussehera were celebrated at “THE VITS SCHOOL” Indore to imbibe the traditional values in our children.
The students of Pre Primary were dressed in bright colored and beautiful ethnic attires. Children were all set for virtual celebration, accepting the new normal situation of the class. They attended the class and enjoyed short animation video depicting the story of Mahishasur and Ravana. Teachers narrated the story of great epic and the moral i.e. the victory of good over evil was conveyed to the children. On this occasion Art and craft activity were organized by teachers in which children enjoyed making dandiya and Ravan’s puppet in different ways.
At last, they all enjoyed Dandiya dance along with their mothers, classmates and teachers by using virtual platform.

Gandhi Jayanti, which falls on October 2 is celebrated to mark the birth of one of the most famous freedom fighters of India. His birth anniversary is special in its own way, as it reminds us Indians of a glorious past and all the humane values that Gandhiji held dear.
The pre primary wing of THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by showing a short movie on the biography of Gandhiji to the children and by listening to one of his favourite songs. The children also did an activity of making and colouring pictures of 3 monkeys through which they learnt the core teachings of Gandhiji.

On 3rd of September, the kindergarten of our school celebrated Yellow Day. The motive of celebrating this day was to make the kids aware of the colour yellow, its significance and to develop the fine motor skills in the students. The day began with fun filled introduction concerning the colour yellow. As the day dedicated to the yellow colour, children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!
Focusing on the theme, children of Grade LKG have done LEAF PRINTING ACTIVITY to make a sun flower by using paint colour and leaf. The toddlers of grade nursery enjoyed the PALM PAINTING ACTIVITY and made small and beautiful ducks and learnt the folding of paper with yellow colour paper. At the end the children enjoyed the activity and made the learning event active and sporty.

The students of Class Nursery enjoyed tearing and pasting activity on the national flag of India and made a beautiful tricolor flag.
The sudents of Lkg have made a flag using ice cream sticks by colouring it in tricolor and then assembled it on a drawing sheet.
To imbibe the feeling of patriotismin children of Grade Ukg, made a wall hanging of stars by using tri colour ice cream sticks.The aim of doing this activity is to make them aware of the importance of Independence day and to respect our national flag , our city and our country and to be a good citizen of our nation.
After the activity they enjoyed a patriotic song along with their mothers. The mothers also participated and enjoyed the activity and celebrated Independence Day.

Holi the festival of colours is one of the most important festivals of India and is celebrated with great pomp and fervour. A day before Dhulandi, Holika is burnt. This signifies the removal of negativity and brings the colours of positivity into our lives. The dominant idea behind Holi is to spread the message of harmony.
To celebrate this festival, a special assembly was conducted by the students of grade 3, 4 and 5. Wherein a beautiful skit was performed deciphering the importance of Holi and the story of Bhakt Prahlad and Holika. A mesmerising drama along with the speech about other reasons of celebrating this festival engrossed the audience.
Grandparents Meet

With the shrinking size of families, grandparents are often missed the most by children. It is important to sensitize kids about the role of grandparents in one’s life and teach them about respecting and taking care of them in their old age. THE VITS SCHOOL lay emphasis on the emotional bonding of children with their family members and hence ‘The Grandparents Meet’ was organized to strengthen the unique bond between kids and their grandparents. The day filled with fun and frolic was appreciated by the elderlies who abundantly enjoyed with their little ones.
Students of UKG and Grade 1 presented delightful dance for their grandparents. All the grannies and grandpas participated in chair race and card making activity. They glorified the program with some pleasing bhajans, stories and songs.
The program was followed by the lunch and finally, all of them clicked selfies with their grandchildren in the garden (where the selfie corner was arranged) so that such memories can be cherished always.

THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated National Science Day on 28th February to commemorate the day on which Sir C.V. Raman discovered the Raman Effect.
The students of grades 6, 7 and 8 presented several science projects through Power point presentations. The topics were influential (like White Revolution, Carbon footprints, Healthy Food, etc.) and educative; some of them were presented with the models. Children (audience) asked questions and made the presentations more interesting.

In our school, short trips are organized now and then. And this time, we planned a visit to Zoo for the students of Grade 1 and 2.
Zoo is a place that students like very much. The class teachers accompanied the children, so that they can explain them regarding animals they have not heard or seen before. The best experience was seeing the roar of the big Lion face to face. The Snake park was also a part of the zoo. Real time experiences help our students to improve their interpersonal and social skills, and polish their communication skills as they interact with their peers and elders at a personal level than usual. They learn to imbibe invaluable insights into life from the environment around them.
This time, the aim was to introduce the concept of Inclusive Society. Let us first understand the meaning of this.
Society is a combination of people from different backgrounds like community helpers, disabled people, old age people, orphans, people suffering with severe diseases, etc. Inclusive Society means a society where people of different fields, beliefs, abilities, ideology, class and castes are included, despite having basic differences. It recognizes the differences and ensures human dignity, security, and rights of the other. It is a very sensitive concept which should be taken care by the schools so that we can ensure better society in future.
The students of grades 3 were taken to A school for Deaf, Dumb and Blind Children. Here, they interacted with the teachers and the children with such disabilities. They got to know their way of learning, interacting and living. This made our students realise that they are complete – mentally, physically and socially. We are privileged that we have a complete able body, healthy mind and a family to support at every step.
The visit aimed to sensitize the children and develop the feelings of respect, empathy, humanity and thankfulness for what they have in their lives.

Zoo Visit

With an objective of sensitizing students about the animal kingdom and various existent species, the students of pre-primary were taken for a field trip to a zoo. Jumping with excitement students witnessed numerous animals which they had only seen on their television sets. From hyenas, to jackal, tortoise, alligators, crocodiles, deer, black buck, jungle cats, snakes, etc. students got a chance to closely observe each one of animals present. Upon glancing at the Lion and Tiger, children got super thrilled to witness the king of the Kingdom. They equally enjoyed watching big, fat animals like hippopotamus and elephants.
Not just animals, students even encountered some never seen before birds like, big owls, ostrich, crane, peacocks, silver bird, parrots and water birds like ducks, and vulture. They all became so fond of their surroundings that none of them wanted to leave the place. During their journey back to school in bus, tiny tots shared their observations taken during the field trip.
In true sense, this visit to the zoo helped our students co-relate the concepts they had been learning in class with real life experiences gathered at the zoo.

On 3rd February, 2020, the children of Grade UKG of THE VITS SCHOOL went on a field trip to ‘ONDOOR’-The Supermarket.
The super market is a wonderful place for children to be made aware of and learn about different kinds of foods and other things available there. On their visit to the super-market, children were made to identify the types of foods, clothes and toys found there.
It was demonstrated to them how things are bought, billed and paid for. Then, they were also taught about the things which money cannot buy. On the whole it was a fun learning experience for each child.

Basant Panchami, also known as Vasant Panchami is celebrated in reverence to the Hindu deity Goddess Saraswati, epitome of learning, music & art. People celebrate this day by visiting temples, flying kites, and donating to the needy.
To celebrate this festival, the students of Grade 5, held a Special Assembly. It started with a speech introducing the festival and its importance followed by Lighting of Lamp by the Pricipal and the Academic coordinators of the school. Then the students presented Saraswati Vandana.

THE VITS SCHOOL celebrated its 3rd Annual Sports Week which we concluded on the auspicious day of 26th January, 2020. We celebrated our 71st Republic Day with great zeal.
The program started with bright and interesting group presentations by students, like – Karate, Yoga and Hula hoop.
The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. The day was a fun filled fest of laughter, energy and delight as all the students presented and participated in various activities. There were team games like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Cricket, Football, etc; athletic games – Discus throw, Long jump, Shot-put, Track events, etc. and individual games like Badminton, Table tennis, Chess, etc.
The school motivated and applauded our two vigorous athletes - Tanvi Pateria and Gaurav Dabi who were very close to the National record for 100m. Race (In 80mt. Race, Tanvi – 11.09 sec. and Gaurav – 10.26 sec).
The winners were awarded prizes by the Director of the school, Dr. A.J.Siddiqui and the Principal- Ms.Jyoti Chaurasia. The students became very happy for getting the medal and the trophies.

Makar Sankranti marks the arrival of spring season and is one of the auspicious festivals celebrated in India. This day is dedicated to Lord Surya or Sun and falls in the month of January. To aware children about this festival, activities like Kite Making/ decorating and Kite Flying were organised in the school. Kite flying is traditionally observed as a part of this festival. Students enjoyed these activities along with the traditional delicacy – Til-gud (Jaggery) laddoo.

Children’s Day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to our first Prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal.
THE VITS SCHOOL always strives to emerge out with something new for its students and children’s day being a day especially for them. The teachers thought of a different beat and gifted a fun.
The day started with the assembly by the teachers. Then, children had circle time with their class teachers and subject teachers. During this session they shared their feelings, love and some experiences in the class.
A playtime was also scheduled where children played some fun and traditional games like Kho-kho, ghoda badaam chhai, etc with the teachers.
The aim was to strengthen the bond among teachers and students which is considered to be of utmost importance here, in THE VITS SCHOOL.
The power-packed performances (song, skit and dance) by the teachers set the stage on fire. The students were overwhelmed with the entire effort.

“Be the change you want to see in the world”.
At THE VITS SCHOOL, we not only celebrate the festivals but feel them in their truest form. Yes, Diwali is a festival of spreading happiness and lights around you.
We did the same, with all the decorations and the festivities we celebrated JOY OF GIVING week as well. Teachers and students contributed and collected decent gifts for the house keeping staff and presented them respectfully in a thankful manner.
Principal Ma’am addressed all the Didis, Drivers and other staff members in the AV Room for the time and dedication they put in in all their day to day duties and responsibilities. Then, the students from each class escorted them towards their classroom which were beautifully decorated for giving Diwali Hampers. The students thanked them for the love and care that these community helpers shower.
The lunchtime was also made special for the staff as the students of Grade 7 and 8 served them and realised JOY OF GIVING.
In all, the School celebrated the festival in an eco-friendly and justified manner. The theme for Class decoration was ‘Best out of Waste’ and the purpose of ‘Joy OF Giving’ was to inculcate some life skills like empathy, charity, sharing and being thankful.
The purpose is not just to educate children in the premises called school but make their education a life learning process which can actually turn them in Human Beings.

THR VITS SCHOOL wishes Happy Dussehra to all of you!
Dussehra and Navratri were celebrated on Saturday, 5th October, 2019 with full fun and fair. The tiny tots of UKG were dressed as Characters of Ram Leela and presented a wonderful skit as a starter. This was followed by Garba by Grades Nursery to 1.
To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil,the effigy of Ravana was burnt along with which students burnt one evil habit each that they had written on paper slips,while promising to shun it. At the same time, students wrote one good quality to be adopted and put those slips on Soft board of their class rooms. This is to bring a positive change in their personality.
Students of Grade 2 to 8 also made beautiful art pieces for Diwali based on the theme ‘Best out of Waste’.
The Director and the Principal of the School graced the program with their presence and enjoyed a lot with all the students and teachers.

The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi (Gandhi Jayanti) is celebrated on October 2 as a national event across India. This day is also observed across the entire world as the International Day of Non-violence.
To mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhiji, THE VITS SCHOOL had organized a special Assembly on Tuesday, 1st October, 2019. It started with a prayer and followed by a heart touching Skit, presented by the students of grades 4 & 5.
The topic of the skit was “Ahimsa Paramo Dharma” or Nonviolence. The act had no dialogues but still expressed the theme and objective in a very pleasing and appealing manner.

Yes, we are talking about Sustainable Development. It is a process that provides for the present generation without compromising on the needs of the future generations. To explore and feel this concept, THE VITS SCHOOL had organized a motivational visit to Jimmy Macgilligan Center for Sustainable Development, founded by Padma Shree Dr. Janak Palta.
1. The students were explained about the important role Solar Energy can play in our day to day lives and how we can reduce our dependence on LPG, electricity and other such non-renewable sources of energy. There was a huge variety of Solar cookers which could cook everything naturally.
2. The Organic and Medicinal Farm was worth watching.
3. Then, the students observed power generation through Windmill and Solar Panels.
4. Mrs. Palta is living a Billionaires’ life, whatever she is using in her day to day life is completely Pure and Organic. The food, water, cosmetics, everything.
5. The best example of Zero Waste Life, is observed by the students.
6. The students understood that Sustainable living is the need of the hour and should be one of the most important Fundamental Duties of every citizen.
Parle G Factory visit of Class 2, 3, 4 and 5

Keeping this motive in mind, The VITS School had organized an educational visit to the Parle G Factory. The students of Grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 were taken to the factory on Wednesday, 18th September, 2019.
The aim was to show the steps involved in the production process like manufacturing, sorting, packaging, etc.
They enjoyed an animated movie about the origin of Parle G Factory, their lunch at the venue and Parle G biscuits.

The VITS School, Indore feels proud to announce that our students UnnatiJakatdar, Aadya Agrawal, Aayesha Siddiqui, AbhishekRathore and JayantBagdi won The Inter School Skating competition held on Wednesday, 18th September, 2019.
An inter school skating competition was organized by The Global Sports Foundation for Child Development of Indore at Raj International School, Indore. Nine schools of the town had participated in this competition. The students participated in two categories – Under 10 and Under 14.
Unnati and Aadya won silver medal in Under 10 category. In under 14 category, Unnati and Jayant won Bronze medal in Inline Skating competition. Aayesha won Gold and Abhishek won silver medal in Tenacity skating competition.
All these five students from The VITS School got selected for National Skates Competition to be held in Goa in the month of November.

We celebrate Teachers’ day every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gratitude and appreciation for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – second President of India.At The VITS SCHOOL, the students had organized a lovely program from 9:30 -11:30am, which incorporated a few speeches and song dedicated to teachers.They also entertained teachers by arranging fun games for them. All the teachers were given hand made cards. Finally, the program ended with dance by the teachers and students together.We decided that, the responsibility of teaching should be taken up by the students as an appreciation and change for their teachers. So, from 11:30 onwards Students of grades 6,7 and 8 taught in all the classes and managed the children till 2:30pm.

In order to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna, a celebration was organized in The VITS School, Indore. All children, from Nursery to Grade 2, came in traditional dresses. Some boys came dressed as ‘Krishna’ and some girls came dressed as ‘Radha’. Beautiful decorations were put up to make this event more cheerful and colorful. Children danced on the tunes of Krishna. A ‘Matki Phod’ event was also organized to mark the mischievous nature of ‘Bal Gopal’.

Thursday, 8th August was election day at The VITS School. The students had to vote in for new members of the Student Council.On the morning of the Polling Day, one by one, the pupils entered the school A V room, now converted into a polling station,complete with a table for the election staff, a waiting area, a polling booth and a ballot box.The candidates campaigned with lots of enthusiasm during recent days.
They prepared many creative campaign posters that they placed all over the school.All the candidates were promoting peaceful values, showing their willingness to contribute to improving the life of their fellows during the school year.

To celebrate International Yoga Day, The VITS School had organized special assembly for all the classes to give each student a feel factor of the benefits of doing yoga.Some warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed various asanas like – Hasta uttanasana, Ashwa Sanchalanasana, Dandasana, Bhujangasana, Parvatasana, etc. along with Suryanamaskar. As per CBSE norms, we have introduced a new subject in the school curriculum, Life Skill.Life skills is a set of skills that enable us to effectively handle issues commonly encountered in daily life. It can be any skill which makes the life more purposeful.Keeping the meaning of Life Skill in mind, we had conducted an activity in the school i.e. Washing Utensils.
